On April 22, 1970, United States Senator, Gaylord Nelson (D-Wisconsin) held the first environmental “teach-in.” This event was established to educate Americans about environmental issues as broad as wildlife conservation, pollution, and power consumption, among others. Billed as “Earth Day,” more than 20 million Americans participated, and the environmental movement made its historical debut.
Today, 40 years later, environmental concerns are being addressed on a scale much broader than Senator Nelson could have imagined at the time. Recycling laws have been passed nationwide, emissions standards are being strengthened, and people all over the world are thinking “Green.”
At iLuv, we are doing our part. We call it “Greenology.” For us, it’s our way of ensuring you that we love our planet and are doing our part. “Greenology,” is more than a goal; it’s a commitment that is ever-developing and improving.
Our products meet the strictest environmental standards both in the United States and across the globe and we get “greener” all the time. From the materials used in the products themselves to the energy efficiency of their operations, and from the production process to product disposal, you can be sure that we are being good citizens of the planet. It’s our commitment to you and to the environment.
Happy Earth Day from iLuv!
